Picnic in the Park!

So Riley and I met up with Alicia and Matt over at one of the local parks. We set out a blanket and Riley got to lay on the blanket and lift herself up and observe everything around her. She can kinda scoot herself around, but very slowly and not very far. She tries really hard to get at whatever food is sitting in front of me or I'm eating. So naturally, she saw the plate of food not to far from her and tried to scoot her way over to it. It was too funny. Alicia made homemade pizza, texas toast, and strawberry/blueberry shortcake for dessert. It was delicious! That day Riley was able to lift her chest off the ground, I was really impressed! She is learning new things so fast for a baby that's a little over four months old!

Riley also has learned to grab her feet, and now she sticks her big toe in her mouth and sucks on it! It is sooo funny to watch! She also likes to look at herself in the mirror and make faces!

Addicted Fashion Show, Downtown SLO

Riley and I went to the Addicted Fashion Show downtown, where a friend was DJ-ing and another friend was modeling. Riley enjoyed the music, but not the heat. Fortunately we were sitting under some umbrellas with a great view of the show. The last picture was taken at the house, she just looked so cute!

Grabbing Everything!

Riley likes to grab her toys on the toy bar now, on her bouncy seat and on her car seat. She also likes to grab anything that's around her, or anything that's near here whether it be a finger, hand, arm, hair, necklace, shirt.

Avila Beach Day!

Alicia, Riley and I all went to Avila Beach on Sunday. It was the most perfect weather for a beach day, not too hot with a bit of a breeze. Riley took a nap when we first got there in her little travel bed, so Alicia and I had time to eat our lunch and put on some tanning lotion. Riley woke up after about a half hour and I took her out to enjoy the beach with us. She got her feet all sandy and we took tons of cute photos. I even took her to the water and let her dangle her feet and try it out. It was a little cold, but not too bad. She actually liked it! It was a fun day at the beach. I can't wait to bring her to Hawaii!
