Almost Over...

So Andrew and I are still getting over this terrible cold/sickness that EVERYONE seems to have right now. Riley has been pretty much over it the past few days, just a little case of diarrhea...but I'm glad that she's her normal happy self. I'm also glad that I didn't get the terrible part of this sickness, I've only had a stuffy nose and a headache. And of course, some sleep deprivation. But that's to be expected. Tomorrow we're going to meet Auntie Rachel in Portland, Maine...we were going today but it's supposed to snow 15 inches, yikes! I'll be taking quite a few pictures tomorrow, and I'm sure Rachel will to because she has a SLR! So check back to see some artfully taken photos =)

I hope everyone else is well and not catching this cold!!!

It all started with the movies...

Andrew and I decided to have a little date night last night and went to see Mall Cop at the movie theater. We left a little after 7 since the movie started at 7:20. Everything was fine, until about an hour into the movie I get a text message from Andrew's mom saying Riley threw up all over herself and her crib. This is the first time she's ever gotten sick. I started to get anxious, and thankfully the movie was almost over. We stopped at the store on the way home and got some pedialyte so she wouldn't get dehydrated. We got home and my heart just broke. Her little baby face was so sad, and she was so sleepy. We had to hold her upright for a couple of hours so she didn't choke on her throw up. It was just SO SAD. I don't even know how to explain how I felt. She was just so helpless, I wanted to be the one throwing up, not her. Thankfully she took the pedialyte and we got her to go to sleep. She ended up sleeping in bed with us. This morning she felt much better. She was actually back to her normal, cute self! Babbling and playing with her toys. She just went down for another nap since she woke up a little earlier then usual this morning. I'm so thankful that she's better. It's so scary when you're child is sick and there's not a whole lot you can do except wait it out and be there for them.

Sledding!

A few days ago it started snowing again and Grandma Victoria had just bought Riley a little red sled. We decided to take a walk around the block and pull her in it. She loved it! Her little nose and cheeks got so red, it was too cute. I put her in her little pink baby bunting with her robeez boots and coach hat. Even though it was wicked cold outside, we all had fun!

A (Successful) Bathtime Story!

I gave Riley a bath today in her little quacking duck tub, and for once, she actually enjoyed it. Ever since the day she was born she has HATED taking a bath. She always screams and wants to get out. But this time she enjoyed splashing around, playing with her butterfly washcloth and watched me blow bubbles for her. She did her usual posing for the camera even!

Fashion Show

Last Saturday I had a fashion show at the Bangor Meltdown 2009. It took place at the Civic Center, and was a whole lot of fun, and a great show for all the local artists. There were bands, hair stylists, artists, and of course fashion!! I was even interviewed for an article in the Bangor Daily News (http://www.bangordailynews.com/detail/96335.html and also in http://www.bangordailynews.com/detail/96446.html). It was awesome! I figured I'd share a few of the pictures from the show on here =)
